Clinical manifestations: 1) amnestic memory impairment 2) difficulty recalling recently learned information 3) no benefit from cueing 4) recent memory more impaired than remote memory; however, remote memory also deteriorate with progression of disease 5) semantic memory & episodic memory are affected
